i’ve been busy . . .

oh well for excuses as to why i haven’t written since Day One.  i’ve been attempting to conquer my list. 27 things.

2.  core fusion.  i’ve switched to yoga, hip hop and running.  i’m up to 4-5 times each week, and i’ve been working out consistantly for 4 solid months. and i’m not exaggerating.  ok, so in the past i’ve lied to my doctor — you know the “how often do you work out” question, i usually fib a little and tell them more than usual.  but this is all for real. Yay.

4.  launch a new business.  done and done. www.maybooksonline.com.  i’m revamping the website, so please forgive it’s simplicity.  i’ll have a new one by next week.  what a fun new company, i’m simply having a blast with it!

7.  hip hop.  go powerhouse of dallas.  gotta love Gino.

9.  burning candles.  found this great one at urban outfitters for $12.  i’m addicted.

13.  golf.  i’ve been “practicing” my swing, err.. attempting to hit over 150 yards . . .and have been testing out various clubs at golf galaxy.  looks like i’m a callaway big bertha kind of gal.  i seem to love those.

11.  website.  she’s finally done! www.micamaydesign.com.  prob. my favorite thing done off the list this year!

16.  make-up.  well, considering i had to buy All New makeup, brushes, curling iron, etc. because mine was stolen off the street at 5am . . . i think i’m doing okay here.  it was a sad day.

18.  paper dork.  going to a paper seminar on may 16th at clampitt paper.  it’s okay — they’re paper people.  i’m SUCH a dork for this.  but what can i say? it truly helps my business.

1.  books.  i’ve been cranking them out.  i’ve even thrown in a few others in the mix, but they are pretty much “non books” so i won’t mention those.  (for ex: shopaholic takes manhattan.  see?  a non-book.  i told you.)

jan.  Free Publicity.  this was a quick but useful read about how to gain PR for your company.

feb.  Eat. Pray. Love.  i do like oprah, but i’m not a freak about her or anything.  i really liked this book — it was a nice crossover between entertaining and inspiring.  now i want to travel!  oh wait . . . that’s ALWAYS been the case.

mar.  Searching for God Knows What.  this was much better than blue like jazz (in my humble opinion).  it was a lot less bitter and i found myself nodding at several of his points.  i loved his little blurb about communion . . . it’s pretty much how i view.  anywhere there is wine and food (preferably cheese!) and friends, it’s a perfect time to give thanks and celebrate the goodness of God and His sacrifice for us.

april.  Cold Tangerines.  thanks rachel for the recommendation!!  this was such a fun read.  i feel like i was writing the book myself at several points and it made me smile a lot.  Loved It.
